Learning is an adventure with Easiteach
Antarctica!
This Australian Developed content pack has been designed
for
classrooms across Australia and the around the world to support
the development of global awareness and problem solving
skills.
The lessons are suitable for students in junior primary through to
upper secondary and integrated across a range of subjects. Easiteach
Antarctica is grouped into six topics; Environment, Management
&
Protection, Exploration & Discovery, Natural History, Special
Studies and Maps.
It
provides a platform for students to explore science, global issues,
responsibilities, historical events and the intricate natural
environment,working as individuals, in groups or through whole class
activities. As a unit of work Easiteach Antarctica will
develop the essential knowledge, skills and behaviours students need to
prepare for further education, work and life.

How Can
Easiteach Antarctica Help You?
Easiteach Antarctica includes a cleverly designed chart
called the Curriculum Links Poster to help teachers identify the
activity
most useful for their classes. The Curriculum Links Poster
groups each topic by Age
Group, School Year Level, and a description of the Learning
Objective addressed by the topic.
Each Easibook contains activities designed to support the teaching of
Geography and History as well as the disciplines of Science and
Literacy/English through interactive inquiry based learning. The
content pack makes use of Easiteach features to develop subject
discipline skills in an
interactive and engaging way. It promotes discussion opportunities that
develop understanding of Antarctica’s fragile landscape, its
historical imprint and importance in predicting the future state of the
planet.

Antarctica plays, trace the history of some forms of communication and
transport, and research some of the modern forms of communication.

impact of human activity on the ecosystem of Antarctica. |

Increase understanding of historical remnants (hut) to retrace events
requiring its construction, and discover Heard Island of today via map
and photos.
